Chapter Games
Once per decade, Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes send their representatives to take part in a series of combat games. It is a chance to meet and celebrate with their farflung brethren… but most of all, to prove their skill at arms against the most worthy foe!
This is a more liberal new interpretation of the old Gaming League rules.
(Work in Progress 2015-05-26 – I’m updating this to match current rules)
Army Selection
Forces may be chosen from these lists:
- Codex: Space Marines
- Chapter Tactics should be chosen as normal, including those from Forge World.
- Codex: Blood Angels
- Codex: Dark Angels
- Codex: Space Wolves
Grey Knights do not take part in the Games.
This force is intended to represent those line Battle Brothers who are keen to prove their worth. As such, Veteran and Elite units do not take part: they have nothing to prove! In addition, the Chapter’s armoury is not called out for such a small scale event.
Armies may take up to 800 points, and are chosen from this list:
- 0-1 unit from:
- Captain. May not be upgraded to Chapter Master.
- Company Master
- Wolf Guard Battle Leader
- 1-3 units in any combination from:
- Tactical Squad
- Scout Squad
- Crusader Squad
- Grey Hunters
- Blood Claws
- 0-3 units in any combination from:
- Assault Squad
- Skyclaws
- 0-1 unit from:
- Bike Squad
- Scout Bike Squad
- Attack Bike Squad
- Land Speeder Squadron
- Ravenwing Bike Squad
- Ravenwing Attack Bike Squad
- Ravenwing Land Speeder Squadron
- Swiftclaws
- 0-1 unit from:
- Devastator Squad
- Long Fangs
These additional restrictions apply to all selections.
- No model may have an armour save better than 3+
- The above units may take Dedicated Transport options they have, but only from this list:
- Rhino
- Drop Pod
- Razorback
- Land Speeder Storm
- No named or unique characters or units may be taken.
- No Chapter Relics (or equivalent) may be taken.

Missions follow the normal rules in the rulebook, with some exceptions. The recommended table size is 4′ × 4′.
