Miscellaneous Fantasy Miniatures
I’ve never played Warhammer fantasy, but I have some old miniatures. This is attempt to catalogue them while I try to figure out if I have enough to make an army.
Most of these are old Bretonnians.

First up, what passes for heroes – two Wizards, the King, Standard Bearer and some other hero type. I really loved green and purple when I was 12.

The Bretonnian knights – the core of the army. I have 16 here, suffering a bit from bendy or missing lances. I might be able to build one or two more from my bitz boxes.

Only 8 archers.

I did some research and found these are the Avenging Knights of the Cleansing Flame who are an old ‘Regiment of Reknown’. I don’t remember how I came to have them. I think they were meant to be humans but they have more of a High Elf vibe now – not surprisingly they were a Jes Goodwin sculpt. I have here 8 spears + standard, musician, 2 champion types.
Updated rules are available in a fan-made supplement Classic Regiments of Reknown

These are historical figures – Norman knights on foot from Gripping Beast. I won them at an old club tournament. I think they would work as Bretonnian Men-at-Arms. I have 16 of them. They’re also suffering from bendy or missing spears.
Norse
In addition to the figures pictured here I could also use parts of my historical Viking army – I used to use them for Warhammer Ancient Battles. They don’t have quite the right look for Bretonnians, but I have roughly 100-plus infantry and 30-ish archers.
There is a fan-made army book Warhammer: Norse which looks like a pretty good fit for the Vikings.
